Our goal for summer camps is to educate local athletes on the philosophy, science, mechanics, and strategy of various technical track and field events through instruction and experience, while also highlighting local college coaches’ methodologies and programs. We ran our first camp in 2024 for Hurdles and it was a hit! We plan to offer new camps every year.
Camps are open to middle school through masters athletes of all abilities- from beginner to advanced.

Evan Gerish founded Hurdle Tech in 2010, bringing high school hurdlers together from different schools to train, compete, and make each other better. Between Michigan and Colorado, his athletes earned over a dozen state championships, national podium finishes, and collegiate opportunities at programs including the University of Michigan, USC, Florida, Penn, Brown, and Colorado School of Mines, among many others.
Over the last decade and a half, Gerish has developed a national reputation for building high-level hurdle camps, clinics, and online training programs focused on speed, technique, and race philosophy. He currently serves as the head sprints, hurdles, and relays coach at University of Dubuque, where he coached the national runner-up in the 60m hurdles and the 2024 national champion in the 400m hurdles.
This summer, Coach Gerish returns again to support his friends at Denver Athletics, give back to the Colorado hurdle community that helped build his resume, mentor the next generation of hurdlers, and continue the collaborative training culture that has defined Hurdle Tech from the beginning.
